Forgive me for side stepping a little from out regular tech news but this is for all the tech enthusiasts out there who are also absolute The Matrix fans. Celebrity spokespeople are nothing new, but the industry certain has seen a rash of new “official voice of…” announcements recently. The latest? Laurence Fishburne, perhaps best known for playing the distinctive role of Morpheus in the Matrix trilogy, will now serve as the official voice of Cadillac. Hit read more for details.
General Motors’ luxury division will first use Fishburne in a new ad campaign set to debut January 1, 2011, during the Rose Bowl telecast.
“At Cadillac our ambition is to continue to set a new standard in our own distinctive way”, said Don Butler, vice president for Cadillac marketing, in a statement released to the media. “We are excited to be working with Laurence Fishburne as we bring new thinking to the automotive luxury space in 2011.”
Cadillac recently launched a new campaign called “Red-Blooded Luxury” that was developed by Fallon Minneapolis.
