Review - HTC Desire HD in Pakistan!

It brings me great pleasure today, to review one of the most cutting edge devices that have graced the earth with its presence up till now. The HTC Desire HD is as cutting edge as you can get, its feature include an enormous 4.3 inch touchscreen, Android Froyo OS, WiFi hotspot capabilities, 1GHz processor, 8 MP camera and just under 800 MB of RAM, separate graphics processing chip to run your graphics heavy applications (including watching high definition videos on the device). Such a rich set of features has gotten all the techies drooling over it even before it was announced in an event in London hosted by HTC on September 15, 2010. Now, lets take a closer look.

The built quality like all HTC smartphones is excellent with unibody aluminum construction that gives it a solid feel while the metal gives it a premium feel. The huge display is a pleasure to use and after some time spent with this display it will be hard to adjust with a smaller one again. It also makes typing a breeze. Also the 8 MP camera is excellent in good lighting conditions. The WiFi hotpot feature means that the EDGE\GPRS internet you get from your telecom example Ufone can be used to power your laptop through wifi meaning your mobile will function like a wireless router!

Other features include an amazing internet browsing experience thanks to the high amount of processing power available as well as the separate graphics chip and the large screen. I keep mentioning the size of the screen because you can only appreciate it once you hold it in your hands. I would highly recommend you to walk into a mobile store and check out a dummy phone to see what I mean. Also there is one powerful camera that is excellent for good light conditions. You can also relish in the live wallpapers that are supported by Android Froyo like the ones we mentioned earlier. The user interface is blazing fast thanks to the heavy amount of processing power packed into the device. The feel and shape of the device is a matter of taste, I personally like it, others have a problem with the segmented back design. Then again, it depends on your taste. This device is highly recommended to those who can afford it and is available right now for Rs. 64,990/- at Homeshopping.pk factory unlocked!
