Details about the Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc, Neo and Pro!

The 2011 Mobile World Congress has started and here are the first phones we have for you!

Arc

It resembles Xperia X10, which was rolled over to make it thinner. Arc is really quite thin and this feeling is just boosted by a large square of the body. Hit read more for details!

The smartphone has hardware buttons under the screen, which cannot make us unhappy. A 4.2" screen is a great addition too. Arc should be considered a fine-tuned version of Xperia X10. The main drawback of X10 was a bug-ridden firmware in commercial samples. If Arс becomes stable without the defects of Xperia X10 it has all chances for success. The next model on review will be more popular anyway.
  • OS: Android 2.3
  • Networks: GSM/GPRS/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900 MHz, UMTS/HSDPA 900/2100
  • Platform: Qualcomm MSM8255, 1 GHz
  • Interfaces: Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.1+EDR (A2DP), microUSB (USB 2.0) for charging/synchronization, a 3.5 mm jack for headsets
  • Screen: 4.2″ (480x854) LED-backlit LCD screen of 16 million colors
  • Camera: 8 MP with autofocus and flash

Neo

It is a proper Vivaz: excellent camera, unusual design, different colors and quality sound. Android 2.3. seems to be stable in this handset. You can read a preliminary review here. What can I add? First Vivaz had no problems, but the software. If Neo inherits advantages of Vivaz without software issues, the model could be a hit. The price must be adequate too.

Pro

A black Xperia Pro does not resemble Nokia N97. Decide yourself.

But a white Xperia Pro is completely different and does look like N97.

May be these are my own ideas only. At the same time I think that SE Xperia Pro is not a crowd puller despite good characteristics and nice design. It happens because QWERTY smartphones have lost their popularity several years ago. Desire Z is an example of attractive QWERTY slider, but its keypad is still perceived as an addition to a high quality smartphone, which is an exception.

I like this lineup of "robots" and hope these models will be free from bugs of SE XPERIA X1 and XPERIA X10. Then Sony Ericsson will have all chances to become a prominent player among Android manufacturers.
